Lufthansa – Consolidation of Data Center Services
In 2006 and 2007 Enterprise Networks supported Lufthansa in the technological and geographical consolidation of existing server systems and applications as well as in the corresponding migration of numerous locally operated servers to the data centre of Lufthansa Systems.
The project started with a recording of existing server systems (including hardware configurations and system interfaces). As a next step target configurations and SLAs for future operation were defined. In this context requirements for the functional and technical reporting on the future server operations were derived.
In this project Enterprise Networks took responsibility for entire migration including all relevant planning and testing activities.
